This is my grandmother pendant that I want to introduce. I originally designed her in 1998 when I was closest to my grandmother. I learned a lot from my grandmother, she taught me about our Navajo way of life. I respect my grandmother and all her teachings. She had tremendous strength as a Navajo woman. She was knew the Blessing Way ceremony and was a herbalist. I still hear her songs in ceremonies, songs that heal the mind, body and soul. She was very generous and humble woman. These were some of the thoughts that I had as I made this at the start of my career in 1998.
   This lost wax edition is of 55. I use three of our sacred stones, Turquoise, White shell, and black jet. She has on a shawl, she's holding a prayer fan, and she has on her squash blossom. Darryl Dean Begay
